Welcome to the NO DOUBLE TRACK website. Our primary purpose is to protect NORTHRIDGE, California from an ill-advised and extremely dangerous project proposed by the L.A. Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). If implemented, the Double Track would destroy our quality of life and reduce safety in every way. It would be much too close to homes and inevitably lead to increased railroad traffic of all kinds.


WE ARE CITIZENS AGAINST THE PROPOSED INSTALLATION OF AN UNACCEPTABLE, INHUMANE AND DEPLORABLY DESIGNED 2ND RAILROAD TRACK.  ON BEHALF OF OVER 1000 PETITIONERS, WE DEMAND FULL EIR/EIS.  NOTHING LESS.


 

The Proposed Raymer to Bernson Double Track Project is especially dangerous for anyone residing adjacent to the current single track.  Metro, outrageously, has proposed building the second track south of the current track, which is only 15 yards from residential property lines.  Adding a second track would mean massive trains passing even closer to residential properties, in some cases pulling huge tankers with toxic subtances - a recipe for disaster.
